What to Expect

What to Expect Before Your Massage Therapy Treatment

Prior to your massage therapy session, the Massage Therapist will conduct a thorough pre-treatment process to ensure your care is safe, appropriate, and tailored to your individual needs. This typically includes a comprehensive review of your health history, current concerns, previous injuries, medications, and any relevant medical conditions. An initial assessment may be performed to evaluate posture, range of motion, areas of discomfort, and overall physical function. This information allows the RMT to develop a clinical personalized treatment plan aligned with your health goals.

All personal and medical information collected is treated with the highest level of confidentiality and is stored securely in accordance with professional regulatory standards. Your records will not be shared, released, or transferred without your explicit written authorization.

Before treatment begins, the Massage Therapist will clearly explain the proposed techniques, areas of focus, and expected outcomes. Informed consent will be obtained prior to treating any part of your body, regardless of whether you remain fully clothed or are partially or fully draped with professional linens. Your dignity, privacy, and comfort will be upheld at all times. You retain the right to ask questions, request modifications, or withdraw consent at any stage of the process.–
